Carl Sandburg College’s Upward Bound Math-Science program will host its summer fair from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. July 5 in the Lonnie Eugene Stewart Art Gallery in Building D on the Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Blvd. Students will showcase to the public what they have learned during the five-week summer program.

Sandburg’s UBMS program annually serves 60 students in grades 9-12 from the Abingdon-Avon, Galesburg, Knoxville, Monmouth-Roseville and ROWVA school districts who meet certain criteria. The goal of this free, federally funded grant program is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science, earn postsecondary degrees in those areas and pursue possible professions in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
